Cats and Bots

Effective October 1, 2026 · Zaltair LLC

The short version: Cats and Bots is free to play, with one optional in-app purchase. The game does not collect, share, or sell your personal information, and it has no ads, analytics, or tracking. Everything it saves, including any photos you add, stays on your device.

If you buy the optional upgrade, Google Play (or Apple) handles the payment. We never see your card details.

Who we are

Cats and Bots is made and published by Zaltair LLC (“Zaltair”, “we”, “us”). If you have any questions about this policy, email support@zaltair.com.

Information we collect

Nothing through the app. Cats and Bots does not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, device identifiers, advertising IDs, or usage or behavior analytics, and it doesn't need an account.

The only information we ever receive is the basic purchase record the app store gives sellers if you buy the optional upgrade. See In-app purchase below.

What’s saved on your device

To remember where you left off, the game saves your level progress, star ratings, unlocked items, the cats in your Lounge and the names, collars and stickers you give them, your crew members' photos, paw and ear choices, your room theme, whether you own the upgrade, and sound and hint settings. This is stored only in the app's private storage on your device. It is never sent to us or anyone else, and we can't access it. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in your device settings, permanently erases it.

Photos you choose to add

The optional upgrade lets you add up to three crew members from your own photos: your cat, another pet, or a favorite person. Each crew member can have up to four face photos (for example, a happy and a scared face). You pick each picture with your device's standard photo picker. The app reads only the picture you pick, lets you crop it, and saves the cropped image in the app's private storage on your device.

Your photos are never uploaded, shared, or sent anywhere, they are not included in cloud backups, and Zaltair cannot see them. The app does not use your camera and does not browse your photo library on its own. You can delete a crew member's photos at any time with Remove crew member on the Your Crew screen, or by uninstalling the app.

Please only add photos of people who are happy for you to use their picture.

In-app purchase

Cats and Bots offers one optional, one-time in-app purchase: the upgrade that unlocks your crew (custom photos), extra helmet stickers and collar charms. The game is fully playable without it.

Internet access

Cats and Bots has no online features and never sends your data to us. The only network activity is handled by the Google Play Store (or Apple's App Store) on your device, to process, confirm, or restore an in-app purchase.

Ads, analytics, and third parties

Cats and Bots has no advertising, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party software that collects data. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information.

App stores

If you download Cats and Bots from Google Play (or, in the future, the Apple App Store), that store handles the download under its own privacy policy: Google, Apple. Depending on your device settings, the store may give developers anonymous, aggregated statistics and crash reports (for example, install counts or which device model a crash happened on). These reports don't identify you, and we use them only to fix bugs.

Children’s privacy

Cats and Bots is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Purchases can only be made by the app store account holder, and they are covered by the store's parental controls (for example, Google Play's purchase-approval settings and Family Link, or Apple's Ask to Buy).

Your choices and rights

We hold no personal data about you from the app, so there's nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete. You control everything saved on your device and can remove it at any time: a crew member's photos with Remove crew member on the Your Crew screen (under Customize), and everything else by uninstalling the app.

If you bought the upgrade and have a question about that transaction (for example, a refund), contact us or the store.

Changes to this policy

If Cats and Bots ever changes in a way that affects your privacy (for example, adding online features), we'll update this page before that version is released and change the effective date above.
